BIO

Brian Patterson was born in Phoenix, Arizona to James and Sage Patterson. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Arizona State University. One of his first professional jobs was a note-worthy marketing campaign for the franchised major-league baseball team, Arizona Diamondbacks, where he worked as the teams “crazy fan” mascot for three years, performing in a dozen local commercials, community events and hundreds of game appearances before making his move to Hollywood in 1999.

Brian has worked extensively with five-time Tony nominee director Marshall W. Mason and Academy Award winning screenwriter Horton Foote. He has worked professionally in film, television and commercials. His love of writing found a home at the Writers Boot Camp in Los Angeles, where he studied the craft of screenwriting. Brian has served as Executive Producer on three short films, one of which was honored with multiple awards. He is currently directing a sci-fi short that is in preproduction and a feature film in development.

Through tenacity, perseverance and a never-quit attitude, Brian has carved out an interesting and fulfilling road. A road that has led him full circle back to Arizona State University and the newly named Sidney Poitier New American Film School , where he is studying the science of filmmaking at the highest level. Brian has discovered a love of teaching and looks to compliment his journey in the entertainment industry with academia.
